I was lucky enough to be one of 12 finalists in O’Neill’s One Way Runway event this summer, where 12 girls from around the world competed in a bikini catwalk show in Ibiza that ended in a 4m jump into the sea! Check out a video of it here – I’m the girl that does the cheeky sailor wink/salue thing.
Anyway, not only was it great fun but it was an awesome insight into the O’Neill team as well. As a brand, I typically associate them with surfing or snow sports, but having spent a few days kitted out in their gear I realised that they’re a pretty cool everyday clothing brand too.
With Elyse Taylor (aka. gorgeous Australian Victoria’s Secret model whom we got to meet and walk the runway with!) as the face of the brand during the 2011 seasons, O’Neill are really positioning themselves as a fashion brand, not just a sportswear brand. Here I’ve picked out some of my favourite looks from them. Check out the video below for a dreamy showcasing of their Fall 2011 collection – it’s sort of native American meets vintage, and every single outfit looks effortless and wearable.
