Swimwear Trends Summer 2012

I’ve only just got back from holiday, but already I’m dreaming of my next one! And with that dreaming comes one of the most important aspects of a holiday – swimwear! I can be pretty bad with swimwear – I tend to just keep wearing the same bikinis every single year. I think I’m afraid of spending a lot on something us Brits don’t get to show off much. But now I’ve found my secret weapon for great, on-trend beach and pool pieces with a perfect price-tag – swimwear from Tesco Clothing! I’ve picked three of my favourite swimear trends for this summer and found a great swimwear to match from Tesco. So no more excuses for me – I can now buy plenty of new swimwear each year without worrying about spending too much money!

Swimwear Trends 2012 - Neon

F&F Mix And Match Neon Colour Block Bandeau Bikini Top (£3.50), F&F Mix and match neon tie side bikini briefs (£3.50)

I love this trend, but then I am a bit of a colour junkie. What’s great, though, is how fun and playful it is. Go for layered stripes and don’t be afraid to mix and match as many colours as you like – the more the better! This is a great trend for beach parties and goofing around the poolside with friends. Wear with cute sunnies and wedges.

Swimwear Trends 2012 - Crotchet

F&F Crochet bandeau bikini top (£7), F&F Crochet tie side bikini briefs (£5)

I’ve never actually owned a crotchet bikini, but it’s something I’ve always wanted. It just looks so easy and gorgeous, and is sexy without trying too hard. I love lighter shades, and white is always flattering on any skin tone. This crotchet bikini is perfect for a romantic trip with your other half to a gorgeous beach resort. Wear simply with tousled beach hair and gold accessories.

Swimwear Trends 2012 - Pinks and Patterns

Marie Meili Daikiri animal print swimsuit (£26)

This is a totally fun, girly trend. Clashing pink colours blend with crazy patterns for a flirty look perfect for catching the pool boy’s eye! Pink is a great colour too, as it looks good on all skin tones – from palest, English rose-white to the deepest Brazilian tan. Team with bright eyeliner and layers of jewellery for extra glamour.

Which of these three swimwear trends is your favourite? 🙂

Thank you! You led me the idea to buy a swimsuit with neon. I have never bought such bright colors swimsuits, but I want to be fashionable!
