Hi guys and dolls! Hope everyone’s having a great week so far. I’ve had a really busy but super productive one – finished my new book, had the page proofs sent through on the other one from my publisher, and did lots of blogging bits and bobs. I can’t wait for the weekend now to party with my friends!

This outfit is all about transitional spring style. You know, that awkward time when it’s warm enough to lose your winter coat but not go without a jacket. I always think parkas are perfect for this type of weather (and they’ll protect you from spring showers too!), and they’re just so easy to throw on top of any outfit. I’ve been wearing this River Island one constantly – it’s perfect with jeans and a jumper. My other essential for transitional months is a knit dress. It’ll keep you warm, and if the sun decides to show then you won’t feel too hot in it either. This striped one from ASOS is already sold out, but I do hope they’ll get more stock as it is amazing! The easiest piece to pull on and feel great, and breton strips are flattering on all girls. And to finish off the look is the ultimate transitional piece for any closet – high top Converse. They make any outfit.

I sourced all the items for this look using ShopStyle, a really useful online shopping search engine. Just type in what you’re looking for (it can be a really broad term, such as ‘leather skirt’, or more specific) and you’ll get a Β comprehensive list of available products in that style from across the internet. While I love ShopStyle for general browsing, it’s best when you’re looking for a specific thing. I’ve been after these mint Converse high tops for ages, but hadn’t been able to find them on my usual go-to sites like ASOS etc, but ShopStyle directed me to Next of all places! I wouldn’t have thought of searching there, so it’s a great tool for hunting down those hard to find items. Give it a try and let me know what you think πŸ™‚ x

Hey congratulations on finishing your new book. When does it release?

And the outfit looks very sport-pretty on you. maybe its the parka that are making me think that. But what I love the most is how subtly you have combined so many colors in your garments, shoes + lipcolor. Lovely !

Thanks Jasmin! I sized up a half size as I’m a 4.5, so went for a 5, as Converse are a little narrow x
